Freelaning purpose
The purpose of the thesis was to introduce online freelancing to the readers from an entrepreneurial point of view, next to providing an up-to-date guide to undergraduate students concerning how a person can become a freelancer in general. This thesis relies heavily on the personal experience spent by the author as a freelance graphic designer from 2012 to 2014. The information and findings presented in the thesis were gathered from various literature and internet sources and already existing case studies. Its theoretical part explains etymology and analogy, giving general information about both entrepreneurship and freelancing and its place in today’s business environment. It introduces the reader to the essential information standing behind the freelance market, supported by the most important figures and statistics. The theoretical framework and the statistics of the study are highly dependent on secondary data.
